San Francisco — Robotics automation company Rapid Robotics Inc. will exhibit the Rapid Machine Operator at the Injection Molding & Design Expo, scheduled for May 25-26 in Detroit.

The company, based in San Francisco, says it developed the system to perform common tasks, such as injection molding, pad printing and heat stamping, without programming or systems integration. The system is available to rent for $2,100 per month.

According to the company, RMO is a pretrained robot that combines proprietary machine vision and artificial intelligence with robotic hardware to handle most machine operator jobs out of the box, as opposed to traditional robotics solutions that need to be programmed by specialized systems integrators.

At the show, Rapid will feature an RMO operating a pad printer, demonstrating the power of its pretrained AI, built-in computer vision system and unique 60-second setup capabilities.
